Edge Magazine – What's New in Summer?

games of download

Edge magazine editors worked hard to attract the best journalists and writers working in the game industry. James Rossignol, Kieron Gillian, and Leigh Alexander all contribute to the definition of games journalism. Their magazine is respected for its high quality and thoughtful reporting, even though they are not biased. They are well-known for being fair and balanced in reporting, and not favoring any one game over the other.

Articles

The Edge community has been on a hiatus this summer, in preparation for the coming academic school year and new projects. They have written about their loved ones, friends, family, and anything else that comes to their mind. They have also been dealing with the new normal, including COVID restrictions and loss. You can read their articles below to learn more about what they've been doing. You can also view their latest videos or podcasts. Here are some highlights of this summer's issue.

Covers

The Resident Evil 4 cover earned the Edge a black bag. Not for the weak of hearts, and definitely not suitable for children in WHSmiths. The cover was designed by Darren Phillips and allowed the images to shine. Red font was also a nice addition. The image of Agent 47 was a nod to the video game's iconic character. Despite its grim cover, viewers were still drawn in despite the dark mood.

Scoring policy

Edge magazine is a UK-based, multiformat videogame culture magazine. It covers both current-gen and next-gen consoles, and the games that come with them. Edge is known for its strict game-rating policy, and also publishes interviews, articles, and advertisements related to the videogame industry. Although Edge rates games fairly, it does not always give them an A+. In its history, only 28 games received a 10/10 rating. Ten of these were changed retrospectively.

Columnists

Edge magazine features several columnists on a regular basis. James Leach and Tom Cox write on topics that relate to the game industry. Edge's regular columnists contribute a topic each writer covers for the magazine. Edge is credited with all their work. The magazine does not give credit to each writer, however. The anonymous Edge has not been credited for every article written for the magazine, but the regular columnists have consistently received credit throughout the magazine's run.

Subscriptions

Edge magazine subscriptions are a great way to keep up with the latest gaming news. This gaming magazine has everything, including the latest consoles as well as concept design and information on the most popular triple-A titles. Both digital and printed versions are available. The covers displayed above are for illustration only and remain the property of their publisher. DiscountMags does NOT endorse the publisher nor the magazine's content. Subscribing online to Edge magazine can help you save money.

About

Edge magazine has always been focused on the game industry throughout its history. The magazine features a number dedicated sections that are focused on the gaming industry, such as the Codeshop which focuses exclusively on technical subjects. The magazine's University Profile highlights game-related courses and publishers, while its Studio Profile focuses on game developers. Edge does not credit individual writers, but rather refers to its anonymous contributors. While some articles can be anonymous, others may be credited.
